PSL 7 Playoff matches

Four top teams qualify for the playoff Multan Sultan, Lahore Qalandar, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad United.

Islamabad United is the last team that finally qualifies for the playoff round. Multan Sultan finished their league matches at the first position and Lahore Qalandar at second position Peshawar Zalmi are third and Islamabad United’s are at the fourth position.

Multan Sultans won 9 matches out of 10 and it qualify for playoffs with top position. Lahore Qalandars won 6 matches out of 9 its one match is still but it qualifies for playoffs Lahore at second position in the points table. Both first and second teams have two chances to qualify in the final match.

Peshawar Zalmi is in the third position they won 5 matches out of it 9 league matches it 1 match is also left today its last league match against Lahore. But Peshawar Zalmi qualifies for playoffs.

Islamabad United is in the fourth position they won 4 matches out of 10 its league matches are completed. Islamabad United’ looks nervous after they defeat by 66 runs against Lahore. And the main players of this team are suffering from injuries. Captain Shadab Khan is also injured. Some international players are back in their countries due to their national teams series. So the Islamabad United’s lose their 6 league matches for these issues.  Islamabad and Quetta both teams are the same because both won 4 matches but the difference between them is the net run rate of Islamabad United’s is better than Quetta Gladiators. So the United’s qualify for playoffs.

Today’s last league match between Lahore Qalandar and Peshawar Zalmi is at 7:30 pm in Lahore. Peshawar Zalmi won this match by 110 runs so they finish in the top two otherwise Lahore Qalandars will face Multan sultans in the first Qualifier on 23 February and Peshawar Zalmi played against Islamabad United’s on 24 February.
