The Most Effective Farming Base for TH13 in Clash of Clans

The Most Effective Farming Base for TH13 in Clash of Clans

I spent the past few weeks trying to find the most effective farming base at Town Hall 13 in Clash of Clans and have finally come up with what I believe to be the best one. My main goal was to create a base that would survive through multiple raids using hordes of Barbarians, Archers, Wizards, Dragons, and Balloons while still being able to drop trophies. Let’s take a look at my creation and see why it works so well!

[Town Hall 13 Defense Mechanics]

For a quick overview, here are the major differences you’ll find at Town Hall 13: Defenses and Troops. For example, Heroes change to Wizards, and Witches to Wizards as well. There is also a new defensive building called the Wall Wrecker which will deal massive damage to walls and doors with each swing! Lastly, Giants now have an Area Damage capability that can be used against more than one troop at a time. At TH12, if troops like Minions or Hogs got close enough to attack them they would die without being able to do any damage. Now they can do some significant area damage if they’re surrounded by enemy troops!

[Base Layout]

Village Protectors: the most important and necessary buildings to defend your base, left and right side.
Army Camps: levels 3 archers or level 5 barbarians recommended.
Defense Targets: less important, but will take down most buildings in one shot. Archers preferred with wizards on standby just in case.
-Structures That Destroy Wall Breakers (i.e Mortars): this is your emergency defense against TH11s that hit your base because you’re not active when they want to steal all the loot. Wizards are good against air units as well.

[Base Design Tips]

Clash Conundrums is here to share our farming base! This strategy works with low Town Hall 13 and provides a safe spot on the edge that most attackers will struggle to destroy. The main challenge is destroying the giant bombs on either side of the town hall, which is what we have prepared with our sneaky foxes because it’s not always easy to find gold storage at TH13. We recommend you add 2 extra Pekka and one knight (with horse bomb) so they can quickly eliminate any spawned troops near the air defenses or your heroes, while also distracting any building attacker while they go after your storage or other structures. I hope this guide has helped you get started with your farming strategy. Happy farming!

[Defending Against Each Dark Elixir Troop]

Defending Against Baby Dragons – Generally, when the attack is coming from Baby Dragons only, it’s best to use Tesla or Cannons inside a shield. You can also use Air Defenses if you have high enough level ground defenses. However, this strategy will not always work because sometimes the attackers will also bring Wizards and Dragons, who are weak against air defenses. Defending Against Giants- As always with giants, it’s very hard to defend them because they require two different buildings types: one being a building that attacks and then destroys buildings and the other being an area damage type building like a Wizard Tower or an Air Defense to kill the giants before they reach your second defensive layer.
